The latest edition of the official Nintendo magazine stateside (rubbishly titled Nintendo Power), has announced that several new games are in development for the new DS platform, now out in all regions. Katamari Damacy, Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings and GoldenEye: Rogue Agent have all been announced for the DS. Of Katamary Damacy little is known, though this stroke of Namco genius was a big hit in Japan and is also big with a niche of gamers elsewhere too... indeed, the quirky title could prove ideal for the DS, if Namco can inspire a good translation from the PS2.

Age of Empires is being released by Majesco at the close of the year, with an approximation of number two promised including 15 buildings, 50 units and four-player wireless multiplayer. An enticing prospect. No doubt the dual-screen could be put to impressive use in an RTS too. Goldeneye, as you may have guessed, is en route from EA, and is said to boast eight-player wireless action, with the top screen displaying the action and the bottom screen offering information and controls. More on these new arrivals soon.
