The arrival of a brand new Nintendo handheld in the shape of the innovative DS appears to grow nearer by the day, with the latest word suggesting a series of key announcements related to the new hardware during next week's Tokyo Games Show (though not actually at the show, sadly). A tour of the DS throughout Japan has also been revealed, and will be taking in Nagoya, Osaka, Tokyo, Sapporo and Fukuoka - where your humble reporter is currently stationed, interestingly.

Despite no official comment from Ninty stateside, retail giant Wal-Mart is currently listing the DS for US launch on November 30th, with a price point of $199.82, both of which fit in with current expectations. We look forward to trialling the wee beast for ourselves, and hope for concrete news next week.
