E3 2004: Konami reveal Acidic MGS for the PSP

Kojima on-board for Snake's PSP debut

An unnamed Metal Gear Solid title in Sony's roster of forthcoming PSP games was more than enough to get the crowd going at yesterday's pre-show conference, and today Konami have revealed a little more on Snake's exciting PSP outing. Even more interestingly, the new game isn't a port, and will instead be a brand new MGS title dubbed Metal Gear Acid, developed by Hideo Kojima.

More details on this new opus won't be available until a later date, however we do hear word that Konami plan to "redefine handheld action gaming" through this adventure, which certainly demonstrates their ambition if little else. More on this as we get it.
