As we learnt from yesterday's GameCube speculation, which emerged from a Japanese newspaper report, you can't always believe what you read in the papers, so treat this story with appropriate scepticism - as it comes from Mainichi Shimbun.

This article actually acts as something of a tonic to yesterday's Nihon Keizei Shimbun conjecture, and affirms Nintendo's intention to continue making consoles, revealing that the N5 (the title some give to the GameCube successor), will be first demonstrated at E3 in 2005. Needless to say we won't be witnessing anything soon, then.

"Like our Nintendo DS portable game machine, our home game machine must offer an experience that can be enjoyed by adults, children, or women. We would like to show this at E3 next spring", commented a 'senior' Nintendo representative in the article.

    i think it would be good for nintendo to pull it together and kick some ass. they were the guys we loved in the 80s/90s, and you gotta admit, if snes doom, mario+kart, and way to many to remember hadnt been around you wouldnt be playing games today. sega went out out of business and we shouldnt allow the same to happen to our older price fixing, yoshi loving oriental cousins.

    i also think that nintendo should not join microsoft to create a together console, i think that nin. should come out with something new exeeding xenon( xbox2) and PS3 s graphics and gameplay . they should take ver the market again...

    Sure Nintendo should make a new and better system, that is superior to any other system, but even if this new system is 10 times better it will not be able to compete with Sony and their BOYS!

    yea! the new cube has the possibility to be the best new thing on the videogame market, the present day one rules the other systems enough. and no way should nintendo merge with microsoft, i mean, why would they want to bring themselves down like that?

    I'd have to say in comparison to graphics and game speed the Cube kicks both sony's and x-box's ass. However the playstation has a lot of hot titles which makes it worth having. The X-Box is just a piece of crap with only a couple of games that have made it popular, all of which can be played on the PC. Man i hate X-box...I loath it.

    nintendo rules nd sony nd microsoft suck. Ive always bought nintendo nd hav never bought nutin else. I have a Ds and it is brilliant and the Psp could never beat it. Cube has much better graphics than PS2 look at Prime 2. Revolution is gonna own the market and kick playstation and xbox out. Long Live NINTY!!!!!!
