StarCraft II for 2009 debut?
Activision hint at release plans
Newly merged publishing giant Activision Blizzard have revealed that StarCraft II is likely to be released in 2009, an executive telling Activate Asia Pacific that the new RTS sequel 'should' land next year.
The company representative told attendees in Auckland: "Next year’s offerings from Activision Blizzard should include highly anticipated PC strategy title StarCraft II, the sequel to one of the world’s most enduringly popular games."
A 2008 launch for the title had been previously hinted, and hoped for, but recent noises out of the developer suggested that a debut this year was off the cards.
We'll bring you more on StarCraft II as we get it.
