Ibiza Xbox party takes shape

Microsoft have today been fleshing out plans for their mass-market bating Xbox Weekender event which will take place in Ibiza in late July.

The Weekender shindig, a promotional drive for the 360 console, will be held between the 18th and 20th of July. The Whip will be the headline music act, alongside OK Tokyo, Esser, Filthy Dukes, and the Discolexia Crew.

Rock Band will de demoed and there will also be a contest to win a VIP trip to, well, Ibiza actually.

The Weekender will be held at the Ibiza Rocks hotel, with game kiosks, music, and more the order of the day. You can even hire a console and a selection of games for your room.

In addition to this month's event, another will take place in August, just in case you miss out on the orgy of marketing spending the first time around.
