A new RTS-FPS "hybrid" game is being created by SouthPeak, we learn today, the company revealing Raven Squad for the PC and Xbox 360.

Raven Squad sees you taking charge of mercenaries placed deep behind enemy lines in the darkest Amazon.

The new title will see you taking charge of eight squad members, each with unique skills, which you'll need to utilise in your bid to complete the game's missions.

Apparently, Raven Squad will let you flip between RTS and FPS modes, as you 'zoom in' to execute commands in the role of an individual mercenary.

A release this Autumn is on the cards, while the title will be crafted by Hungarian outfit Atomic Motion.

"Atomic Motion is creating something that's visually compelling and building new boundaries in what a military title can accomplish," beamed Melanie Mroz of SouthPeak.

"Fans of both RTS and FPS games are going to love it, as will anyone who enjoys intense, action titles."
