Konami this week reveal that a new Castlevania title is on the way, Castlevania Judgment set to be created exclusively for Nintendo's ever-disruptive Wii console.

A new 'entry point' to those unfamiliar with the series is hinted by the publisher, the new game set to feature characters included in the long-running series' cannon of works.

Old skool Producer Koji Igarashi is at the helm, and we're told to expect full-3D environments, crafted by a famous Japanese manga artist.

The Wiimote will also come in handy, naturally, as we slash, prod and 'whip' bad guys. Environmental interaction is on the cards, and there's even an online mode, including full multiplayer action, as well as connectivity with Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia on the DS handheld.

A release this autumn is hinted.
