HMV to sell pre-owned titles
New scheme on the way
UK retailer HMV have this week confirmed plans to start selling pre-owned videogames.
The store currently only offers customers band new products, but they've clearly been noting the success of rival schemes in competitors such as GAME. The new plan was confirmed alongside the chain's financial results.
"We continued to enhance our credibility with customers and suppliers in the fast-growing games console and software market, and are planning to launch a pre-played games offer in 2008/09," we're told in a new statement.
So, cheaper games in HMV. No bad thing.

But they tried this a while back, I remember they were offering to buy games at silly prices just to boost their inventory! So, this time they are thinking of going all out eh! Lets hope they can bring down the stupidly high pre-owned prices that other retailers seem to sell at.
