700,000 entering Age of Conan
New total revealed by Funcom
Age of Conan has over 700,000 players, according to word from Funcom this morning, who reveal that the new MMORPG's user-account total has now sailed past another milestone.
This must count as a very promising start for Age of Conan: The Hyborian Adventures, perhaps even the biggest new MMO debut since you know what arrived.
World of Warcraft does of course boast over 10 million users, although Funcom already believe they are the number two subscription-based MMO in Western markets.
Lineage and the like do of course rule the roost in Korea and Japan, although are once again second to Blizzard's world-beater.
Of course, with the retail box of AoC bundling in 30 day free trial, many of the 700,000 user accounts may not transfer into proper subscriptions, so we'll probably have to wait and see exactly how popular Funcom's opus is.
More as we get it.

Comments
Trials are not yet active so if they say they have 700,000 subscribers, that includes 0 trial accounts and could multiply itself x2 when they become active.
