More Metal Gear Solid planned

Producer promises more to come

Speaking to MTV Multiplayer, Metal Gear Solid 4 producer Ryan Payton says there is more to come from the series, although the latest game is to be viewed as a goodbye to Solid Snake himself.

He was at pains to point out that this isn't the last Metal Gear Solid title, but merely the conclusion of Snake's story.

"I think there's been some misconceptions that this is the last Metal Gear. This is really just the last chapter of the saga of the Solid Snake story," he said.

"[Solid Snake] was a burden [for Hideo Kojima] because of all those loose ends. So when you play Metal Gear Solid 4 and when you get to the end, I think you-re going to feel that, 'Wow, this is a nice closure.'

"All of the weird stuff that's gone on in the past, it's all coming to an end. All those weird questions - everything is answered."

The title is out on June 12th.
