Haze dev responds to review score

Writer addresses IGN evaluation

Haze designer Rob Yescombe, the man behind the game's anti-corporate devilry plot, has responded to the 4.5 out of 10 awarded by IGN.com in one of the game's first reviews. The score is of course far lower than anyone could have expected of Free Radical's PS3 exclusive.

While IGN's review is troubling, the game has scored well in other evaluations from Famitsu and PlayStation Magazine Italy, leaving Yescombe in philosophical mood.

"My thoughts are 'Owch'. No, wait - 'MEGAowch'," he told PSU.

"Haze has had mixed reviews, but even GoldenEye got a 4/10 when it first came out. With a 9/10 in the Italian PSM, and an extremely positive review in Famitsu, we're looking forward to people playing Haze and making a judgement for themselves."

We should have our own review of this soon.

what are your thoughts?

  1. if ign were biased it would be against nintendo never sony, so saying ign some how got this terribly wrong sounds like pish to mii unless ign are doing a x360 fanboy review hmmmmm maybe.....

the graphics are stale and 576p has nothing to do with it the graphics themselfs are weak and infact look ps2 based maybe they are no amount of hd will change those crapy graphics....

the 4gb install for such a poor looking game seems overkill but bluray is proven non suited to games loading so free radical probably load everything thru the harddrive

poor graphics story plot poor innovations way to much halo copying and FPS ON A DUALSHOCK= CASUAL GAMING CRAP

ps3= 576p crappy 30 frames and crap out dated dualshock controls

wii= 480p(same dam thing as 576p)60 frames double haze great depth controls gameplay graphics and no install required=prime 3

GET A Wii THE MASSIVE SALES AND USERBASE HAVE WOKEN UP LAZY 3RD PARTYS AND SMALLER DEVS ARE GOING TO GET CREATIVE ON IT

AKA HIGH VOLTAGE the conduit ps3 is sooooo DEAD
