PS3 gets YouTube integrated

Future PSN option revealed

Google's YouTube video service can now be integrated into the PlayStation 3, we're told this morning.

The idea of the new functionality is that users will be able to upload their favourite gaming moments from within games, to rapidly share their success stories with the world.

We've no word on exactly how this integration with PS3 games will take place, and how much control users will have over the clips used, but we are told gamers can share their clips on the fly, in-game.

Sony are the first firm to offer dedicated YouTube support, although Microsoft already offer similar functionality on a bespoke basis through Halo 3.

More soon.
