Halo Wars for Leipzig debut

'Too early', right now

Speaking to CVG, Xbox big cheese Shane Kim has revealed that Ensemble's longed-for RTS Halo Wars will be shown-off properly at the Leipzig Games Convention, taking place in east Germany this August.

Kim said that any GC 2008 unveiling would be undertaken in a "controlled fashion" (which sounds... scary?), adding that the new title was simply not ready for the Gamer's Day event which took place yesterday.

"We’re not showing Halo Wars here today because we wanted to focus on these titles," Kim let slip. "When we show titles we want to show them when they are ready. We’ve learned that from a few games we showed too early, like Too Human.

"I’m excited with the progress we’ve made, Halo Wars is a lot of fun to play but it’s not ready to show yet," the boss concluded.

More on this as we lure Microsoft into the open...
