Viva Pinata sequel takes shape

New details emerge

More pre-Gamer's Day leakage this lunching hour, Viva Pinata 2: Trouble in Paradise the game under discussion this time.

Once again, NeoGaf plays host to the idle gossip, word being that the new VP will include drop-in co-op play, not to mention some rather flashy support for the Live Vision Cam. The camera will apparently be used to enable players to scan cards, unlocking unique in-game content.

The cards will reportedly usher new animals, new buildings, fresh abilities and even weather.

We even hear players will be able to create their own cards, online, crafting unique pinatas which you'll be able to share with other players via Live.

Improved creature AI is promised of Rare's new sandbox offering, and there will be much more interaction between your inhabitants.

New garden accessories, toys and the like, will also give pinatas more to do. 30 new beasties will feature, and there will be new landscapes to explore. A release this September is what we're hearing at the moment.
