Castlevania hits Arcade
All 95 MB of it...
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, the most expansive and hefty Live Arcade game released so far, is now available to download from the online service. Costing 800 Microsoft points and weighing in at 95.32 MB the game is the mightiest on the so-called 'mini game' platform to-date.
Playing as Dracula's son Alucard you'll be journeying back to dad's old place to battle monsters, solve puzzles and explore the ancient castle. The game was previously released on the PlayStation, and we're told this is one of the first 'full' console titles to land on the Arcade.
Symphony of the Night is the game credited with altering Microsoft's Arcade policy, with the company upping the download limit to 150 MB and even launching a 512 MB memory card, so that 'Core' system owners are still able to partake. You'll need to wait until April for said card, however, so Core owners will want to hold fire before attempting to download this game.
The new Castlevania will include 12 achievements and 200 gamerpoints, and We're told that visuals and audio have been spruced over the original. Mwahaha...
