Insert your own pizza, half-shelf, ninja, 80s-speak joke here, dude, because the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are on the way to the Xbox Live Arcade. And can be yours later this month for a very reasonable 400 Microsoft points.

Ubisoft will deliver the new title, their first for the Arcade service. The game is a re-make of the 1989 arcade favourite, back when we all had the toys, the oldies worried it was corrupting us (some things never change) and the UK censors made the cartoon makers switch the word 'Ninja' for 'Hero' in the title.

Digital Eclipse are handling the conversion, with a side-scrolling beat 'em up featuring seven levels said to be the plan. A co-op mode will also be included, on and offline, with four players possible over Live.

"Ubisoft is breathing new life into the video game franchise with the launch of our downloadable console games while remaining true to the unique core values that make the Turtles so timeless," commented Ubisoft's James Regan at the news.

In Arcade related news, Bizarre Creations have revealed that Boom Boom Rocket will cost 800 MS points when it reaches Live in the spring. The game is being delivered by EA, their first game for the Arcade. BC previously created Arcade hit Geometry Wars, which cost 400 points, though the developer are confident Boom Boom Rocket offers far more bangs-per-buck than their last hit.

More soon.
