As the annual E3 bandwagon starts to benefit from the full momentum of media speculation, those infamously unreliable 'independent' industry sources claim that Microsoft and Bungie's much-lauded Halo 3 (working title of course) will receive its first moments of public disclosure at 2006's expo.

The Master Chief will apparently take to the E3 screens via a 2-minute video clip (in-game or FMV is not confirmed) that showcases the upcoming sequel to Halo 2, Bungie's 2004's global smash hit. Microsoft is as tight lipped as ever concerning Halo 3's emergence at E3 2006, or the current leaks and rumours to that effect that are beginning to accumulate across the Net. Their stock answer when quizzed about the suggested E3 showing is, "Microsoft does not comment on rumour and speculation." Its silence neither quells nor fuels the flames of intrigue regarding Halo 3's possible appearance but, with a scheduled 2007 release, it makes a modicum of sense that E3 2006 would prove the best option when it comes to high-profile media coverage for Microsoft's flagship property.
