In an interview with CNN Money, Valve Software's Director of Marketing Doug Lombardi revealed that Half-Life 2 is now expected to be complete in the summer, and that the company will once again demonstrate this epic title at E3 in May.

In typically vague Valve fashion no specific date was even hinted, with Lombardi merely suggesting that the developer "is currently targeting this summer for the completion of Half-Life 2".

In loosely related news, the interview also revealed that Arx Fatalis developer Arkane have been among the first developers to licence Valve's impressive Half-Life 2 engine technology. No particular title was revealed as benefiting from this new software under the hood, though.
