Bleszinski urges respect for visionaries
Game designers need looking after too
Speaking with trade magazine Gamasutra.com this week, Epic game designer Cliff Bleszinski says the business doesn't give its visionary game designers enough credit.
"As sad as it is, you’re only as good as your last game, in many ways," Bleszinski mused, chatting with the website.
"In Hollywood, at least, you get movie jail for like a year, and you’re out, and you get to try and make another good movie. In games, you screw up once, and no one ever wants to hear from you again. It’s pretty sad."
He added that we should 'celebrate' designers like "Ken Levine or Molyneux or Chris Taylor or Kojima."
Does Epic's Gears of War 2 mastermind have a point?
