Activision Blizzard today announced a new first-person tactical action game, called Secret Service. We hear the game is actually going to be out this side of Christmas, which is quite a surprise for a game we've never heard of.

Secret Service will be released on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS2, and it'll see players assuming the role of an operative charged with guarding the President during an attack in Washington on Inauguration Day.

A deep plot is promised, with plenty of 24-esque twists hinted at. Damn those extremists.

The game has been created by Cauldron, makers of Soldier of Fortune: Payback apparently.

It is unclear when this game will hit Europe - Acti presumably looking to tap into US election fever with this release.
