The Xbox Live Arcade may already have had its slice of retro PoP fun, and this week it appears Ubisoft might be offering PS3 users a slice of classic Persian platforming, with a new game for PSN.

PlayStation.com report that the new Prince of Persia re-release will boast exotic characters, new animations, tweaked control and fresh content. Time Attack and Survival game modes will also be added to the mix, we hear.

HD visuals abound, no doubt, and all in all this game sounds much like the Arcade PoP which we greatly enjoyed last year.

There's no date for this PSN release, yet, but we will of course keep you posted.
