Microsoft blame DHL for destroying more than 20,000 Xbox 360 consoles, which were being shipped by the firm in a train-derailment in Texas. Microsoft will sue over the accident.

The systems were apparently en route to Hong Kong, where Flextronics were set to take delivery of the consignment; before the train crash occurred.

Following DHL's train leaving the tracks, the consoles in question suffered "impact damage, wetting, pilfering and shortage".

Microsoft values the loss at 2 million USD, which DHL are apparently refusing to compensate. A court case will ensue.
