The Vice President of Epic, Mark Rein, has dispelled a rumour that EA is interested in buying the developer behind Gears of War. Speaking to VG247, Rein labelled the rumours as "rubbish".

The talk of the takeover seems to have originated from GameGuru:

"After their failure to capture Take-Two Studios, the rumor mill strongly suggests that Electronic Arts are seriously contemplating in buying out Epic Games."

Thank goodness we do not drink from the same "rumor mill".
