Codemasters Online today confess that they are going to close the North American and European servers that were being used for the Western version of sci-fi MMO RF Online.

Codies were operating the title as part of a deal with Korean game creators CCR, and given that the license is set to expire soon, it transpires that the companies simply couldn't agree a deal to continue the MMOs forays.

Service will stop completely on the 10th of November, and players have already been prevented from purchasing credits for the game - new account creation also disabled.

"RF Online was Codemasters Online's first MMO service and we have been very proud of its development and success during its three years of existence," reads a statement from the publisher. "It was also one of the first Eastern-style MMORPGs to ever make it to Western market and do well and it's with much fondness that we look back and remember these achievements "
