Today is Bungie Day at, well, Bungie, the formerly Microsoft-owned Halo creator offering Halo 3 goodies in celebration of the studio's existence.

First and foremost, players are being offered a free map to download - called Cold Storage. The stage is based on remake of Halo 1 favourite Chill Out.

Microsoft have also sliced the price of the Legendary Map Pack, which can now be yours for 600 Microsoft Points.

Cold Storage will also be rotated on playlists from today, assuming you have the downloads required.

More goodies from Bungie include a new Xbox 360 theme and there are also Gamerpics up for grabs.

Many of these offerings will only be available today. Bungie's website also has some nice bits and pieces. Happy Bungie Day, one and all.
