Chatting with UK music mag NME Oasis star Noel Gallagher has partially blamed video games for a rise in violent crime in the UK.

The rock 'n' roll star also laid the blame, perhaps less controversially, at the feet kids "smoking super skunk".

Here's the full quote. Enjoy:

"People say it’s through violent video games and I guess that’s got something to do with it," he said, when asked about youth violence. "If kids are sitting up all night smoking super skunk and they become so desensitized to crime because they’re playing these video games, it’s really, really scary."

More pearls of wisdom from Noel as we get them.

Well, always good to rail against a scapegoat. It's easier than actually doing something.

But we all know Noel Gallagher is a moron who is just trying to aid a flagging career.
Probably thinks a bandwagon has something to do with music....

desensitized by sitting playing video games and smoking super skunk ?? Considering most of the phuckin time I smoke hash, watch violent videos online just to remind myself how phucked up this planet really is. Don't forget mind you that for every asshole there are 5 good guys. So Mr Gallagher, no offence but yer talkin out yer arse mate, there are people who love violence and others who loathe it. Smoking weed has phuck all to do with being violent. I love GTA but I wouldn't steal a car, kill "a good guy", etc. I would kill a bad person if I had to, or if there would be no repercussions. Go suck on a fat hairy dong ya eejit.

That's funny, I thought the only way to enjoy that moron's music and to think it was actually worth listening to was to be high. Imagine that. He's attacking his own listeners.

Super skunk...That sounds like Pepe le Pew on Red Bull. What's really, really scary, is someone asking Noel for topical social commentary.
