Rock Band 2 out in September
Limited exclusivity on the 360
The first Rock Band may have only arrived in Europe within the last month or so, but that hasn't stopped developer Harmonix and owners MTV already lifting the lid on Rock Band 2 - the game set to launch in September.

IGN reveal that the new release will include cross-edition compatible downloadable tracks, meaning that all the tunes you grab for Rock Band 1 will work in number 2, while number 2's songs will function in RB1.
Harmonix say RB2 will be a 'timed exclusive' on the Xbox 360, with PS3, Wii and other releases due later in 2008.
Peripherals from RB1 will also work in the new music game, while a new range of peripherals, promising to be more authentic and more reliable, will also be launched alongside the new title.
Designer Dan Teasdale says RB2 will boast the "strongest playlist we've ever assembled", with user-created tracks also mooted for inclusion.
"Rock Band 2 takes all the lessons we've learned from making a multi-instrument music game, addresses them, then adds some amazing new ways for you to experience your music library that have never been seen in a music game before," concludes Teasdale.
More on Rock Band 2 soon.
