Rock Band set for Japan debut
Rocking all over the world
MTV (of all people) confirm this evening that multi-instrument music-fest Rock Band is on the way to Japan, with a very localised version set to be released in the land of the rising sun.
Harmonix and co. will partner with local game makers Q Entertainment to release the title, which will feature Japanese artists and other talent popular in the region.
Q Entertainment do of course know a thing or two about music games, having created Rez and Lumines in the past. Rock Band was also shown off on Saturday at the MTV Japan music awards.
Three million copies of the game have so far been sold in Europe and North America. We suspect Japanese gamers will be just as taken with the game as their western counterparts.
