Steam Cloud offers remote storage
Valve confirm clever new feature
Valve have unveiled a new feature for their Steam content delivery platform late today. Remote storage will from now on be offered for several big Steam games and related data.
Steam Cloud will be the name of the new proposition, and it will give you access to all your games from any PC. Other data will be covered, beyond the games themselves, including save files from Steam titles, or game settings.
Valve's Steam will carry the load of all this data magically via the interweb, and the developer assure that they won't charge gamers for this new option. 'The Cloud' will even save in-game videos and screenshots captured by gamers.
Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Team Fortress and Left 4 Dead (out later this year) will be supported from the outset.
Valve promise a number of other Steam updates in the future, bolstering community features, auto-updating, calendars and more.
