Ubisoft were celebrating 10 years of Tom Clancy-inspired games in Paris this evening, showing-off both EndWar and HAWX - while Splinter Cell: Conviction was brushed quietly under the carpet.

Who knows if we'll be seeing that one ever again, the game rumoured to be 'on hold' following a review of quality.

That said, HAWX was looking interesting, promising an arcade-style dog-fighting jet title, set in the future. The game promises an FPS-like experience, and in the mission we were demonstrated, Ubi's guide led us through a battle over the skies of Rio.

Likewise EndWar was a focus, Ubi showing off the intuitive-looking voice-based controls, to an impressed audience.

Both games are due out later this year, while Ubi also mooted their goal of an increasingly well-integrated Tom Clancy universe, where HAWX jets can be called in during combat in EndWar, with other products also linking in with a consistent and compatible world.

It sounds almost like an MMO of some kind, but who knows. What we do know is that Ubisoft are planning to expand their Clancy-based product line, short films and even movies hinted.
