10 million downloads for Rock Band

If ever proof were needed that games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero are are a cash-cow post launch for their respective publishers, its word that EA/MTV's entry in the popular rhythm-action genre has now passed 10 million downloads.

EA also confirm that Rock Band has now passed 3 million unit sales in North America.

The game is out in Europe later this month, Guitar Hero creator's Harmonix expanding on their original concept via the addition of voice, drum and bass sections of rock tracks.
