Job ads are often a good way to spy or at least speculate on upcoming games, or on the specifics of a particular project, and today is no exception. A Sony Computer Entertainment America vacancy has got all the internet a-flutter, chit-chat suggesting that God of War III on the PS3 might include online multiplayer.

The publisher are apparently after an "online gameplay programmer to join the team behind the critically acclaimed AAA titles God of War and God of War II".

The job will be centered at SCEA's Santa Monica office, we're told, while design, development and network maintenance will be included in responsibilities, beyond numerous other network-related tasks.

Sony, unsurprisingly, won't comment on this, and the job site does include all manner of disclaimers, suggesting we shouldn't read too much into the posting. That said, multiplayer GoW III is a mouth-watering prospect, is it not?
