Developer Bethesda have today officially confirmed that a Fallout 3 Collector's Edition is en route to the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The limited edition box can be pre-ordered now.

The special Fallout 3 set is presented in a customised, metal Vault-Tec lunch box, offers the game, a "collectible" Vault-Tec Vault Boy Bobblehead, ‘The Art of Fallout 3’ book, and a ‘The Making of Fallout 3’ DVD. The artwork in question has apparently never been revealed before.

"We’re very excited about this collector’s edition and believe it truly offers gamers an amazing mix of unique items from the Fallout universe, combined with a great behind-the-scenes look at what goes into developing such an immense title," beamed Vlatko Andonov, president of Bethesda.

Fallout 3 is of course the full 3D, first/third-person continuation of Interplay's RPG series. The title is due out in the autumn.
