While the game may be called Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, we learn today that the US rockers won't be the only stars of Activision's forthcoming rhythm-action title, guitarist Joe Perry confirming that other bands will also feature.

Perry says that The Kinks, Cheap Trick, Mott the Hoople and Joan Jett will feature, as reported by GameInformer today.

Lenny Kravitz, The White Stripes and Deep Purple are also mooted by the veteran rocker.

GH: Aerosmith will be released on the 360, PS3, Wii and PS2 come June, the game will follow the career of rock favourites Aerosmith and is the first Guitar Hero to draw the spotlight on to one particular band.
