GameCube 2 in 2005?
Rumours abound
Apparently, IGN Cube have received a number of rumours from various developers through the grapevine, speculating about the arrival of a sequel to the GameCube. It seems likely it would seem, that Nintendo's successor will arrive in Spring 2005, with several developers having apparently been told to expect something around this time.
Of course, the details of the console and its name are unofficial at the moment, though Spring 2005 does seem reasonable given Nintendo's desire to get their console out ahead or at least in-line with their major competitor's products.

My money is on them calling it something other than the GameCube 2
My money is on Nintendo falling behind Sony and Microsoft,again, in the next console war.
It's scheduled for release alongside the PS3 and X-Box 2. It's currently called the GC2 but that's only what the media is calling it.
Rumour has it that it's called Nintendo Revoltion (maybe Sony will have the Playstation Reloaded and X-Box will have to settle for Enter The X-Box....sorry for that) and is codenamed Project Dolphin 2 (Dolphin was the original name for the Gamecube).
But this is just speculation and rumours at the minute. Anyone remember the Ultra 64?
I think that Nintendo's decision of waiting to release a name, and information of their next machine is one of the best steps that they could take. If their system comes out last, their system will be the newest on the market. It would draw more attention because of the fact that it would be new. And if they do well with creating the machine all together, they would of made better buisness than any of the other system companies (Microsoft, & Sony)
i think that nintendo is doing a great job and if it gets through this right it can have the power too destroy sony and xbox nintendo has been around for a while and i think that the creaters of nintendo r not ready for all this new stuff now i dont no what sony and xbox do about there work but nintendo seems too b doing the most work and i thinkthat sony and the amasing xbox r not really doing any thing i mean i heard a while back that nintendo came up with the name playstation and sony took it sony just relaxes and lets its company do all the work well i can tell u that one day sony is going to make a mistake and relax too long and nintendo will hit it right at its weak spot and sony will quickly drop and will fall right were nintendo is right now but like i said at the top sony doesnt do that much for its system thats y nintendo will become the overall system and xbox will b right beside sony going down the dranso sony and xbox will fail

what about the panasonic Q they havent released that yet in the us and they are making a new system? If it plays dvds, and has many online games it will proabally be the best over sony and microsoft

Does anyone know if there is going to be a super mario sunshine sequel on GC or are they gonna wait for GC2? if you have beaten mario sunshine you know that bowsers son mentiosn that he will get him next time. SO it makes me think there will be a followup. I like the sidecroller games a little better, why has ninetndo gotte naway from that?

the best things come to those who wait... it isn't about falling behind. it's about releasing a product that is a higher performer than the competition. everyone knows, including your dead grandmother, that the only reason sony outsells, is because of the countless games available for it, that you will NEVER play. QUALITY not QUANTITY.
Xbox 2 will beat PS3 and Gamecube 2 the Xbox 2 have much real picture and better hard drive and include the memory is maybe 1,000 MB.. As I hope sooo...
Im a nintendo fan, its been the only system ive ever owened (no not the only systems ive played, ive used them all). I dont want to say something stupid like NEXbox (next box) is better or Ps3 will be better. In my oppinion they each have thier own place, they each have pros and cons. I hope nintendo just is able to keep its nice multiplayer thing going. Heres a few ideas that would be awesome for G2: 6 controller ports, internet ready *come with a dial up connection, and allow people to buy a broad band version*, and internal memor, however sell memory cards that can be hooked up to usb chords on computers so u can download expansions to games. Oh i go tmore but sony or microsoft fans might steal them....grrrr

GC should be more like PS2.Also I think GC should

however Namco is coming out with some games

are the best on GC so far.

i think that gc2 should come out before xbox 2 and ps3 because more people would buy the first one that comes out. thats what happend with ps2.
