While the freshly rumbling DualShock 3 PS3 controller has been available in Japan for what seems like aeons, the controller will finally be departing the land of the rising sun this spring, we're pleased to report.

Sony inform us that the DualShock 3 will be released stateside on April 15th, costing 54.99 USD.

Various hues of the controller were released in Japan four months ago, and it seems Western markets will have waited nigh-on six months for the rumbling controller to land beyond Japan.

Worrying still is the lack of European dating or pricing, which hopefully Sony Computer Entertainment Europe will offer up soon. Or you could import a controller at great expense, of course...
