Valve consider entertainment media on Steam
Movies, music, TV all mooted
Valve have this week revealed that they are considering running TV, movies and even music across their content delivery system Steam - a hit among PC gamers at present.
The Half-Live developer are quick to add that no concrete plans have been formulated yet, however the firm are reportedly keen to embrace new types of content - perhaps having noted the success of video-on-demand over the Xbox Live Marketplace; Live being the Xbox 360's answer to Steam in many ways.
"We're definitely having those conversations and meetings, and we're reaching out to folks with other types of digital entertainment," Valve marketing man Doug Lombardi told Tom's Games.
A 'pilot' of some kind by the end of the year is hinted, Lombardi re-affirming to Eurogamer.net that TV shows, movies, and music albums and singles were all under consideration.
