A new map is en route to Halo 3, Bungie revealed late last week, confirming that Ghost Town will be a part of a map pack in development presently.

The new pack will launch in the spring, according to the latest word from the developer, and we're told the new battlefield will be part of a 24th Century water plant in the barren plains of Africa.

The map's quite an undertaking by the sound of things, Bungie revealing that a team of four have been dedicating themselves to its creation for five months. The team state that Ghost Town will be ideal for infantry teams, and will be perfect for games like One Bomb or One Flag.

The map certainly looks the part, and given Bungie's extensive efforts, we're rather looking forward to sinking our teeth in come the spring.
