Paramount flicks hitting Euro Live Marketplace
Naked Gun, Transformers, things...
Film studio Paramount has today unveiled a new deal with Microsoft, which will see its films distributed via the Xbox Live Marketplace in Europe.
The video download service hit Europe late last year, backed by a prominent catalogue of films from Warner Bros."We're very excited to announce this new relationship," Paramount representative Alex Carlos told us at an unveiling event in London's West End today (delicious beef, reasonable salmon).
"We have lots of great content that fits this demographic. We're excited about digital distribution, especially being on a platform as elegant as Xbox 360."
Films should begin appearing on the service in a couple of weeks, with the likes of Naked Gun, Top Secret, Disturbia and Transformers mooted.
Pricing will be the same as at present, standard films available from 250 points, High Definition offerings 380 Points.
Paramount films are already available on the US Video Marketplace.
