Guitar Hero On Tour could be the name of a new Guitar Hero offering, given that the trademark has been registered by publisher Activision, it emerges this week.

The Guitar Hero On Tour name was trademarked stateside, though Acti UK have nothing to offer on this enticing registration. That said, the success of GHIII at the end of 2007 pretty much guaranteed a sequel, so it is hardly surprising to see Activision plotting the series' continuation.

Vicarious Visions have in the past hinted at some kind of DS peripheral, which this may or may not be related to, although given the silence surrounding this handheld version of the game its very difficult to derive more than speculation at this point.
