Texans sue MS over Live issues
5 million USD wanted for down-time
A group of Texan gamers have gathered together to launch a lawsuit against Microsoft over the Xbox Live service disruptions which occurred over the festive season.
The Live users reckon Microsoft made misrepresentations about the service, as well as breaching the contract they have with users.
"Microsoft knew the increase in subscriptions would increase game-play on its servers, yet failed to provide adequate access and service to Xbox Live and its subscribers."
The filing seeks 5 million USD in compensation. Which is quite a lot, really. Microsoft has already said that users will get a free Arcade game by way compensation, but apparently this wasn't enough for certain users in Texas...

5 million USD? How on earth can they justify that as reasonable compensation for a few missed hours of Halo 3...?
