US Rock Band fans will be pleased to hear that they can get their hands on a few free tracks this month, by purchasing the American version of Official Xbox Magazine, which includes three tracks for the game on its cover-mounted CD. The issue in question will hit newsstands later this month.

The February 2008 issue will be out in less than two weeks and includes Freezepop's "Sprøde", Bang Camaro's "Rock Rebellion" and Count Zero's "Shake". The tracks can be copied to the 360's hard disk for easy access, while YouTube clips of the new recordings are even available online.

As this cover-mounted initiative suggests, tracks can also be added via disc, as well as via digital download, opening up the possibility that EA and Harmonix might look to deliver new tracks and collections in this manner in the future.

Several new tracks for Rock Band have already been released via the net, with more promised in due course. The game is set for release across Europe before the end of the first-quarter of 2008.
