You'd be forgiven for thinking that 3D Realms' long-long-awaited Duke Nukem Forever had sunk forever without trace, but it was to our amazement today that not only did a new image from the game surface, but that the developer also confirmed that a new trailer is to be aired - today!

3D Realms' promise that the new trailer from their much delayed FPS opus will be online around 6pm GMT, and we'll be sure to nab it for you just as soon as we can.

"This is a teaser. It's not a full blown trailer like the 2001 trailer (but something like that is coming). I tried to be clear about that in the message board post, so just bear in mind that it's a teaser," 3DR's George Broussard revealed, speaking of the need temper anticipation.
