2K's PR department have certainly earned their truffles this week, timing the announcement of a new boxing game perfectly with the weekend's excitement in Las Vegas. What am I talking about? 2K's new Don King boxing title, the amusingly titled Don King presents: Prizefighter.

DK will be developed by Venom Games and looks set for a release in spring 2008 on the DS, Xbox 360 and Wii, with players assuming the role of a budding prizefighter, tackling a full career mode which includes all manner of personal stuff beyond the blood-lust of the ring itself.

The game will of course benefit from the input and name of the world's most famous fight promoter, Don King.

"In all my years working in professional boxing, I have never seen anything come as close to recreating the thrill, the intensity, the courage, and the spectacle of the sport," beamed King himself.
