The first football (or soccer, if you're so inclined) MMO is entering testing today, publisher CyberSports announcing that Football Superstars is after an initial batch of beta guinea pigs.

You can register via the official website, and once you've completed the form you will be considered for the trial - which also gives you the chance to win a PC, and find out information on this ambitious new project.

A persistent online world is the game's goal (chuckle), in which you'll be customising and controlling your own wannabe football star, both on the pitch and off. As well improving yours skills as you progress, you'll be engaging in all the activities that come with the superstar territory, the houses, the money, the cars, the press intrusion, et al.

The game should get a full release later in 2008, and we'll keep you posted as we learn more.
