360 Video Marketplace nears Europe
Card hints at launch countries
The Xbox 360's Video Marketplace, available for over a year now stateside, has yet to arrive in Europe, with Redmond remaining coy on their specific plans for the continent despite promising that the on-demand video service is on the way. The download service offers both films and TV shows in the USA.
News today, however, suggests that the Video Marketplace could be coming to the UK, Ireland, France and Germany sooner rather than later, with a Microsoft Points card mooting those countries.
The card in question was scanned by Jostiq, and seems to reveal the regions that will initially have access to the service, which does of course include some fairly hefty licensing issues.
Of course, the fact that Microsoft are now including mention of the service on official products suggests it could be coming sooner rather than later, though MS have already denied it will launch next week as part of the Autumn update.
The card mentions films, but doesn't note anything of the TV-derived variety. We'll keep you posted on this.
