As let-slip by Eidos France's big cheese Patrick Melichor a few month's back, the publisher's new Montreal studio will indeed be focussing on the development of a third Deus Ex title - once the new operation is fully up and running.

Word on Deus Ex 3, and indeed the new studio, has been fairly quiet, with the publisher refusing to comment on the existence of the new game. With Eidos Montreal now off the ground, however, we're told that the studio will be employing 100 people by the end of the year, with a staff of 350 due by 2009.

Eidos has also officially confirmed that the studio's debut will be Deus Ex 3 - the cat finally being let out of the proverbial bag today.

"Deus Ex is one of our finest franchises, often cited as one of the best PC games of all time," commented Eidos' Rob Murphy. "By developing this game at our new cutting-edge Montreal studio we have the opportunity to really push the boundaries of expectation for Deus Ex 3."

Details are of course more than a little scant, but we've a little teaser of what's in store via the official Eidos Montreal site. More as we get it, then.
