Reptilia, a Strokes track featured in the game, saw download sales up 127% in the first week and 96% in the second. Slipknot's Before I Forget was also up 75% and 140%.
Industry experts suggest that games are increasingly becoming a way for music firms to market their music to hard to reach demographics, and this sales success seemingly proves the connection.
