Orange Box for PS3 in December
EA UK confirm date
Publisher EA have told UK site Eurogamer.net that The Orange Box should be released on the PlayStation 3 in December (across Europe), with December 14th being mooted for the arrival of Valve's opus.
The publisher released their prospective date as part of a move to quash speculation that the PS3 version of the game could fall into 2008, a slide which would have made bad reading for Sony and PS3 owners. Orange Box will see Half-Life 2, Episode One, Episode Two, Portal and Team Fortress 2 all landing on a Sony machine for the first time; though Valve had been coy on the release date until today.
We already know that Team Fortress 2 will be playable over Sony's PlayStation Network, while the port itself has been handled by EA in the UK. We'll tell you all about it when its properly released. That's a promise.
More then, then.
